Northern Lakes Engineering, Inc. is located in the small town of Dundas, MN just south of  Minneapolis.  NLEi was founded on, and still today is based on creating equipment and processes that actually MEAN something when dealing in all types of ThinFilm Vacuum Processing.  We base our existence on finding and filling holes that exist in ThinFilm processes and equipment thereby making films repeatable and easier to make day after day.

We have our own vacuum systems in which we actually use the stuff that we make.  This means that what we offer has been verified in actual processes.  We know and understand that you need to verify it in YOUR machine too.  Using what we offer makes us comfortable discussing it and speeds up the installation of our equipment on your machine.

We are well versed in Sputtering (both metal and reactive), Evaporation, Cathodic Arc and PECVD processes.
